Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective September 3, 2026These are the terms for Dayposter, a service operated by Sleeping Bear Studio LLC, doing business as Dayposter ("Dayposter," "we"). By subscribing, or by asking us to set up your account, you agree to them. They are written to be read.

1. What Dayposter does.

Dayposter reads your public schedule from your booking platform, builds it as a designed story in your brand, and publishes it to the Instagram Business account you connect. Each evening at 8:00 pm your time, we send a preview by email with four links: Looks good, Skip, Pause, Stop. Each night at 12:00 am your time, or the time you set, we read your schedule again and post today's schedule as a story with tomorrow's as a second frame. Cancelled classes are always removed. If anything else changed after the preview, your setting decides: Hold for me (we send the updated story and wait for your tap; no answer by the cut-off and the day skips) or Auto (the updated story posts on time). An empty day never posts. A schedule page we cannot read never posts. Nothing posts without a preview having gone out first. You can skip any day, pause, or stop at any time, and change any setting by replying to any Dayposter email.

There is no dashboard and no login. Email is the interface. We set up your account with you, by email, and every link we send you is signed and acts only for your account.

2. Your account,
and your side of it.

3. Instagram, and Meta's rules.

Dayposter publishes through Instagram's official API and follows Meta's platform terms. At launch the publish call is carried by a posting rail, upload-post, named in our privacy policy and on the security page. You must keep your connected account an Instagram Business account in good standing, linked to a Facebook Page. Stories published through Instagram's API are the image alone, with no stickers, links, or music; that is an Instagram limit, not ours. You can revoke the connection on Instagram's own screens at any time.

Instagram availability. Instagram's API, policies, and account rules belong to Meta and can change or fail without warning. If Meta suspends, changes, or degrades the API, or restricts your account, we work around it where we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee posting while the platform itself is unavailable, and we are not liable for Meta's actions. If a platform change makes the service materially impossible, you can cancel at once and we refund any prepaid time past that date.

4. Billing, month to month.

5. Stopping, pausing,
and cancelling.

The stop link in every email, a STOP reply, and stop@dayposter.com halt posting immediately. The stop flag is set before anything else happens and is read again in the moment before each publish; if it cannot be read, that counts as stopped. Pause does the same, more softly: no previews and no posts until you resume. Neither one ends billing. Cancelling, in Stripe's customer portal or by email to hello@dayposter.com, ends billing as section 4 says; posting pauses when the subscription ends, and your account stays so you can resume by subscribing again. One email closes your account and deletes everything. The steps are on the data deletion page.

6. Yours and ours.

Your brand, your assets, your schedule, and your Instagram account stay yours. The Dayposter software, designs, and templates stay ours. You give us just enough license to build and publish your stories; we give you just enough license to use the service. Neither of us gets anything more.

7. Acceptable use.

Dayposter publishes schedule stories. Do not use it to publish anything unlawful, deceptive, or outside your own business's schedule; do not probe, resell, or interfere with the service. We can suspend accounts that do, with notice where practical.

8. Our promise,
and the cap.

We work to post every scheduled story on time, and when something fails we retry and step in. But the service is provided "as is," and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for what your schedule said.

9. If we ever shut down.

If Dayposter is ever discontinued, you get at least 90 days' notice, an export of your data (brand settings, design configuration, each night's record, and the rendered stories still in storage) in a portable format, and posting until the stated end date or your cancellation, whichever comes first. Prepaid time past the end date is refunded.

10. Changes to these terms.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, account holders get email notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, cancel before it does; that is always available anyway.
